Adidas has previously released a model of the original Xbox

If this year has done anything, it’s reaffirmed the Xbox brand as a significant player in the gaming world. Its Game Pass subscription service has a growing number of games and fans, and its next-generation console, Xbox Series X, is starting to receive the first games that tap into the machine’s true potential, one that has yet to be discovered.

As the past few months have marked the 20th anniversary of the original Xbox, the company continues to celebrate in a variety of ways. One of them is a collaboration with Adidas to create trainers directly related to the North American consoles, as we have already seen with the ones they presented inspired by the first Xbox.

Now, to close the year, new Series X inspired shoes have been unveiled. This is the latest collaboration between the two companies and, as we can see on their official website, we’re talking about black trainers with touches of neon green and some details such as the Xbox logo on the sides.

Mimicking the special 20th-anniversary controller, the heel features a green area, and the outsole is translucent,” adds the description, which claims the design is based on the console and Boost technology. The shoes, named the Adidas Forum Tech Boost, have an official retail price of $140.

As mentioned, it’s worth remembering that 2021 is a special year for Microsoft as it celebrates the 20th anniversary of Xbox. The brand has carried out several initiatives, such as an interactive virtual museum to review its history or the recent documentary Power On: The Story of Xbox, which episodes can be enjoyed for free.
