Rumour Says From Software Working On Armored Core 6 After Elden Ring

Armored Core 6 leaks discovered by From Software Survey

Armored Core 6 is rumoured to be in development by Elden Ring, creator From Software. The game is said to have been revealed through a consumer survey, which leaked many details about the supposed sequel.

The consumer survey, posted on Resetera by user Red Liquorice, allegedly contained a description, screenshots and two 30-second gameplay videos. According to the user, the first video featured a boss fight and the second featured gameplay in a snowy area world.

The survey was also revealed, with several details about the game. Called the sci-fi world created by Hidetaka Miyazaki, Armored Core 6 will take place on the planet Bashtar and feature a multi-layered story. The map will be “massive and three-dimensional”, and the survey notes that players can feel the scale of the mecha universe. There will be a wide variety of maps with a range of challenging enemies, with replayability promising.

The survey notes that combat will feature long-range combat with firearms and short-range combat with weapons such as swords and shields.

Mechs also provide three-dimensional movement that no human can mimic, with a high degree of freedom in customisation that allows players to reconfigure body parts and weapons, allowing them to build a mech that suits their play style.

One example given is a mech that focuses on close-range combat and mobility and one that emphasises firepower that can deal heavy damage to multiple enemies at once.

Given that the last instalment in the Armored Core mainline was in 2012, fans have been waiting a while for a new entry in the sci-fi third-person shooter series. An expansion, Armored Core: Verdict Day, was released in 2013, but fans of the series have been waiting for the next chapter in this story.

While this supposed leak of Armored Core 6 features plenty of details, as always, take it with a pinch of salt until From Software makes a formal announcement. For now, the developer is working on the upcoming Elden Ring RPG, so don’t expect any big reveals until after the RPG’s release.
