Abandoned: Is It All Just Another Scam From Blue Box?

The game’s script has been leaked, and… well, it’s not as professional as you’d expect from a PlayStation 5 exclusive (?).

The script for Blue Box Game Studios’ game leaked on Reddit, and Shpeshal Nick, one of the hosts of the XboxEra podcast, has corroborated it. If we had to be brief, the quality of the script is more on the level of a high school novel (and even grammatically, there are some mistakes, which is not surprising, seeing what we’ve seen from Abandoned so far…).

To summarise what it’s about: soon, the characters will have the power of creation to rule; then, they take a chip out of a machine, the Zero Cell, a biological weapon. It is created in real-time by artificial intelligence simulations called the Realtime Experience… The Blue Box project, hidden in electronic devices worldwide, has fueled the power of simulations. The more people who used the devices with Blue Box’s AI simulation tools embedded in them, the more powerful Zero Cell’s creation became. The Blue Box project was founded by Team 74. It was a secret society of the world’s top scientists, founded in 1974 and backed by the US government in preparation for creating Zero Cell. It was a computer program that could eventually create another on its own. With the Blue Box, it evolved and implanted them in people. They are called Human AI, a weapon that targets human targets through their weakness, through fear.

Here’s the interesting thing. Lance McDonald, a well-known modder, was also involved in the leak and initially considered Abandoned a scam. The announcement was supposedly published in conjunction with Hasan Kahraman, the head of Blue Box Game Studios (BBGS)… but this tweet has been deleted! Kahraman said it was all a misunderstanding, but after searching (if we’re going to investigate, that’s the minimum…), we found the message, which McDonald deleted.

The pictures below are real and were shared with hardcore fans of Abandoned. The assets shared included content intended as a joke (Silent Hill 5 and some Metal Gear related). Someone then posted these without the context known up to that point on Twitter and Imgur to portray Abandoned as a hoax and an underperforming project. Kahraman and group members expressed disappointment that what was shared was painted differently. According to McDonald, Kahraman spoke openly with him about the project, and that’s why he shared the context necessary to write the statement. (But then why was this statement deleted if the matter has since been cleared up…?)

On Reddit, they shared a mocap video, a brick wall that fits into Blair Witch, and the album with the leaked content. There’s a puzzle picture that looks like a hospital, a Silent Hill 5 picture, a bottle sticker from the game, the script, and a photo from the Realtime Experience (how interesting: the studio hid in the script, and the references don’t stop there…), a picture from the Realtime Experience app, then there’s a soundtrack photo, and it’s all capped off with a picture of Kahraman (confirming who sent the material).

Then more tweets have also been deleted: according to @VGnewsinsider, Abandoned will probably never be released. It keeps getting delayed because the studio continuously changes the concept. First, it was called Scars of Survival, and then it leaked. Then came Zero Cell, which also leaked because Kahraman uploaded an mp3 to his website, which was found. Then, he lied when he claimed his website had been hacked. Last time, the concept was supposed to be about a vampire cult, but that too has likely changed since. The game, code-named Abandoned, is not in development but only a prologue that has been 5-6 months in the making with one goal: to get investors.

The person posted it all because he is fed up with Kahraman bamboozling Silent Hill fans by riding on their conspiracy theories to attract investors. Kahraman is in a torrent of lies. He shared two test level images (one of them is the brick wall), then the sticker of a bottle, the puzzle that would be integrated into the Realtime Experience app, and who knows if that will materialize. The leaked scenario was trashed, and a picture of another test level came. The only image from the prologue was shown; a revised version of the app followed it, and some water was shown. The image for the soundtrack is a mock-up, and then he proved that Kahraman sent these. The mocap video is considered authentic.

The whole thing is now impossible to follow.
