In addition to the pre-order bonuses, Deep Silver and its Dambuster Studio have revealed some new attractions.
Here’s what they wrote: “Today’s showcase featured a live-action pulp-adventure starring three fictional characters set in a similar universe to Dead Island 2. With the military long gone, we follow the fearless survivors as they search for a haven from the virus outbreak and zombie hordes. As they roam the supposedly abandoned mansion of a local video game and movie producer in Los Angeles’ Hollywood Hills, they’ll soon discover that nowhere is safe.
The new Dead Island 2 Welcome to HELL-A Trailer also premiered—narrated by Jacob and Amy, two of the game’s slayers, as they visit HELL-A. Witness Dead Island 2’s unique gore tech, upgradable weapon, combat system, and, of course, its gruesome zombies. Join the slayers as they take you on tour around the stylish, sunbaked zombie-smashing playground of HELL-A. Another surprise inside the showcase was a sneak peek into the Alexa Game Control feature, allowing players to perform in-game actions using their voice quickly. This feature will be launching in Dead Island 2 for Xbox and PC, for English in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom.”
The pre-order bonuses were also introduced, as well as the Hell-A Edition of Dead Island 2. Those who pre-order will get the Memories Of Banoi Pack (two unique weapons: the Banoi War bat and the Memories of Banoi baseball bat, which are a reference to the original Dead Island, the Balanced weapon perk, and the Personal Space skill card). You can also buy a hand-painted, resin Amy collectible figurine on the game’s website for €120. The character cools off after killing zombies at the iconic Burger 66 restaurant. The Hell-A Edition of the game for €100 includes a steelbook with the game disc, a season pass, a Venice Beach map, six Slayer tarot cards, two badges, a Dead Island 2 badge, in-game gold, and pulp weapon packs, and two character packs.
Dead Island 2 will be released on April 28 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PC (Epic Games Store, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. And YouTube should stop with the age restriction nonsense.
