Jeremy Renner in “Critical But Stable Condition” After a Snow Shovelling Accident

MOVIE NEWS – Jeremy Renner is reportedly hospitalized after a “weather-related accident” while plowing snow.

Actor Jeremy Renner was hospitalized with severe injuries, but according to press reports, he is in “critical but stable” condition. Renner, who recently starred in the TV series Hawkeye and The Mayor of Kingstown, was reportedly plowing snow on New Year’s Day when he suffered injuries after “a weather-related accident,” according to Deadline. Renner was reportedly taken to the hospital, and his spokesperson noted that the actor is “receiving excellent care.” No other information about the accident has been released yet.

The accident happened shortly before Renner was expected to return for his second season as mayor of Kingstown. Season 2 will premiere on January 15th on Paramount+ after Season 1 debuted on the series in 2021. Renner leads the show’s cast as Mike McLusky, a member of a powerful family who is suddenly appointed “mayor” of Kingstown after the death of his brother. The trailer for season 2 was released recently.

“It’s just heavenly,” co-star Dianne Wiest said in an interview with MovieWeb about working with Renner on the series. “I love working with him. I’m always so happy when I have a scene with him because he’s the kind of actor who can’t tell a lie in his acting. He can’t. What you see is the truth and there’s no frills.. . I adore him very much.”

Renner is also known as the Clint Barton of The Avengers, which culminates in his own series on Disney+ in 2021. Hawkeye isn’t expected to get a second season, but that doesn’t mean we won’t see more of Clint in the MCU at some point. Although he will remain busy with his role as the mayor of Kingstown, Renner also said that he wants to wear the Hawkeye tights for as long as possible, so you never know when he will reappear in this world.

“I can keep this alive for another decade,” Renner said about the fact that there is still gas in the tank for Hawkeye. “Until I can’t fit into that damn costume anymore.”

About acting in general, Renner added: “I’ll do it until nobody wants to see me do it”.

Considering his popularity, it is clear that many fans would like the actor to continue appearing on the big and small screens for years to come. For now, of course, the focus is on getting better.
