Adam Driver Could Be A Contender For A Starring Role In The Fantastic Four?!

MOVIE NEWS – Adam Driver could be the subsequent live-action version of Mister Fantastic.

There are growing rumours that Adam Driver – most recently seen in White Noise, reviewed here – could star in the upcoming Fantastic Four movie. According to recent reports, he is one of the frontrunners for the role of Reed Richards. As of now, we understand that Marvel Studios is planning to reboot Fantastic Four in 2024. The cast for the project has not yet been announced. So it remains unclear who will play the superheroes that make up the titular foursome.

Several names have already surfaced in the rumour mills for the Fantastic Four characters, and last autumn, it was rumoured that Driver was in talks to play the new Mister Fantastic.

These rumours have now been revived. New reports suggest he is very close to landing the role. According to a new report from The Direct, Driver is “Marvel Studios’ frontrunner for the new Reed Richards”. This is followed by a separate claim from Beyond the Trailer’s Grace Randolph that Driver is “one of the frontrunners for a certain strained role”.

Of course, as neither of these has been officially confirmed, it’s best to treat these reports as rumours for now. There have been plenty of rumours about the film’s casting recently. We may not be too far away from an official announcement. In recent months, there have been rumours that Elvis star Austin Butler is in the running for the role of The Human Torch, while Nope star Brandon Perea is also in the running for the role.

Diego Luna, who is having a big run with Andor, was also rumoured for the role of Reed Richards, to which the actor responded last month that he was considering the possibility.

“It’s just incredible the amount of stuff that I see now out there,” Luna said on Kristian Harloff’s YouTube channel, suggesting that despite the rumours, he would probably be too busy to take the role. “The only thing I can tell you is that, for the next two years, I’m busy. In two years, we’ll see if what I want to do is even film.”
