Some Hogwarts Legacy Players Do Not Reach the Maximum Level

A few Hogwarts Legacy players are unable to reach the maximum level, despite having achieved 100% completion, which prevents them from unlocking all achievements.

Hogwarts Legacy is an open-world RPG and includes a leveling system, skill trees, and an equipment system similar to other games in this genre. Players earn XP for completing the various tasks and activities present in the world of Hogwarts Legacy, and can further increase their combat skills by investing points in one of the talent trees.

Hogwarts Legacy has five skill trees that allow users to enhance their core abilities, improve certain spells, improve stealth abilities and more. For example, players can invest these points to increase the amount of HP they receive when using the Wiggenweld potion or to gain the ability to use Action on multiple enemies at once. Users in Hogwarts Legacy earn one point upon leveling up, but a problem seems to be preventing some fans from reaching the maximum level.

A Reddit user named Cacophonous_Euphoria is claiming that he is unable to reach level 40 in Hogwarts Legacy, despite having 100% completion. The player mentions that there are no new tasks for them in Hogwarts Legacy, as they have completed all the challenges and quests in the game in full and cannot earn any more XP to reach the maximum level. The user claims that there are only two achievements missing in Hogwarts Legacy, one for reaching the maximum level and the other for spending all the talent points, so this problem prevents all the achievements from being unlocked.

Stuck at lvl 39 with 100% completion from HarryPotterGame

They reported the bug, and it seems that some other players have encountered this problem as well, as players are discussing in the comments the possibility that Cacophonous_Euphoria missed a side piece of content. One user has encountered the same problem, as the level up icon is full but stuck at 39 with nothing else to complete and no other way to gain XP. Fans can’t simply defeat enemies to get more XP, as this seems to be tied to the Hogwarts Legacy challenge system, which the Reddit poster has already completed.

Another player claims to have encountered the same problem, but they found an extra side quest, Portrait in a Pickle, which eventually allowed them to reach level 40 in Hogwarts Legacy. However, Cacophonous_Euphoria reiterates that they have already completed all the side quests in Hogwarts Legacy, so it may just be a bug in their playthrough.

Hogwarts Legacy is out now for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, with the PS4 and Xbox One versions arriving on April 4 and the Switch port on July 25.
