Xbox Has Released Its New “Super Green” Controller!

TECH NEWS – Gamers can now get their hands on Microsoft’s fun and brightly coloured new Xbox controller, Velocity Green.

Microsoft has released the brand new Velocity Green controller. It’s the latest Xbox Series X/S wireless controller, giving fans seven variations to choose from.

The Xbox Series X controller was unveiled in 2019, with the new generation of consoles releasing in November 2020: while a standard black and white version of the wireless controller was expected, Microsoft added the option of a Shock Blue controller at launch.

Given the company’s emphasis on bringing a wide range of colourful controllers to the Xbox One, it was only a matter of time before the Series X/S got the same treatment. By February 2021, the Pulse Red wireless controller arrived, with more variants soon to follow. Finally, the Xbox Design Lab was updated to cater to those looking for more variety in the next generation of controllers.

The Velocity Green version of the controller is particularly apt as it fits the brand. In a way, it’s surprising that the Shock Blue version became available at launch when the green is more on-brand. Like most other controller variants, gamers can purchase this new model for $64.99 worldwide. It’s precisely the same as the other next-gen wireless controllers. You can expect the same performance. It comes with up to 40 hours of battery life, a textured grip and a hybrid D-pad. It can be used with PC and mobile devices.

If that wasn’t enough, it seems Xbox is also keen on the Velocity Green colour, as it’s offering fans the chance to pre-order the matching hoodie, which is expected to be available from March 22.

Fans have taken to Twitter to express their excitement, loving the new design. However, if you’ve got a bit more money to spend, you can design precisely the controller you want in the Xbox Design Lab at the end of the day.
