James Gunn Confirms Important Detail From Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3!

MOVIE NEWS – Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will ask more of its audience than the previous three films in James Gunn’s Marvel Studios trilogy.

James Gunn’s upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will be the last time fans get to see the cosmic eccentrics together. Now Gunn has confirmed that the film will be the longest movie in the series.

After the events of the Thor: Love and Thunder and Guardians of the Galaxy holiday specials, in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Peter Quill – still reeling from the loss of Gamora – gathers his team of eccentrics to embark on another mission to protect the universe and one of their own. Filming began in November 2021 and ran until early May last year. The film also introduces exciting new heroes and villains, including Will Poulter’s Adam Warlock and “High Evolutionary”, played by Chukwudi Iwuji.

Gunn took to Instagram to answer fan questions about Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and shared that it will be the longest part of the trilogy.

“It’s longer than 1 & 2,” he wrote but didn’t specify the exact duration. The first Guardians of the Galaxy movie is 2 hours and 2 minutes long, while Part 2 is 2 hours and 17 minutes long, so this might give fans some indication of how long Volume 3 will be.

Gunn once said that he would have a tough time with the third instalment, but he is confident that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 can avoid the curse of the trilogy. He admits that third chapters of film trilogies often miss the mark. However, Gunn believes that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 offers enough new stories to meet audience expectations.

He singled out the backstory of Rocket Raccoon as one of the main reasons for wanting to complete the Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 starring Chris Pratt as Peter Quill/Star-Lord. Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Karen Gillan as Nebula. Bradley Cooper as Rocket and Dave Bautista as Drax the Destroyer. Vin Diesel returns as Groot. Pom Klementieff as Mantis, Elizabeth Debicki as Ayesha. Sean Gunn as Kraglin Obfonteri. Sylvester Stallone as Stakar Ogord and Maria Bakalova as Cosmo the space dog.
