MOVIE NEWS – An impressive Barbie Dreamhouse has been brought to life in The Sims 4 by a talented player, taking inspiration from Greta Gerwig’s hit movie, Barbie. This dream abode, decked out in pink, complete with a swimming pool, pool slide, and a “KEN” floating in the pool, has caught the imagination of many players.

 

Many of them are already excitedly planning to move their Sims into the pink mansion. Barbie has been promoted through various creative marketing techniques, including collaborations with Xbox and the feature of a pink 1956 Chevrolet Corvette EV in Forza Horizon 5. Now, with the extensive customization options available in The Sims 4, players can live out their Barbie dreams in full pink glory.

A talented The Sims 4 player, Kate Emerald, has recreated the iconic Barbie Malibu Dreamhouse in the game, in all its pink splendor. The house was inspired by Greta Gerwig’s movie, which grossed $300 million worldwide in cinemas, so it’s no surprise that players are sharing such awe-inspiring fan creations.

Since its release in 2014, The Sims 4 has accumulated a vast array of content through several expansion packs and custom content (CC). The latter often share unique clothing, cosmetics, furniture sets, and complex homes with intricate interiors that other players can use to modify their Sims’ world. They even designed custom holidays in The Sims 4 to make the experience even more exciting.

Kate Emerald shared her creation on Twitter, presenting the entirely pink Barbie Malibu Dreamhouse Airbnb, complete with a pool slide and “KEN” floating in the pool. Many players have praised Kate Emerald’s hard work in the comments, adding that they can’t wait to move their Sims into the Barbie mansion. Barbie utilized interesting marketing techniques to promote the movie. In addition to Airbnb, there was a crossover with Xbox, during which a hot pink console, movie-inspired Xbox controller faceplates, and Barbie-themed cars, including a pink 1956 Chevrolet Corvette EV, were introduced in Forza Horizon 5.

While The Sims 4 may not have a Barbie collaboration, players and creators can still live out their pink dreams with the game’s extensive customization tools.
