Resident Evil: If Jill Valentine Returns, Another Character Should

In addition to the character that has appeared since the first Resident Evil, we can rightly expect another character from Capcom.

The Japanese company is certainly working on Resident Evil 9, but no official announcement has been made yet, so we don’t know if Jill will be in the new episode.

Jill Valentine was last seen in the Resident Evil 3 Remake in 2020, and here the main villain, although she is played by a biological weapon called Nemesis (B.O.W.), ends up in a conflict with a human, and if we are careless, we end up botching that particular scene, so we end up with a throwing knife in our face…

The perpetrator is Nicholai Zinoviev, who in the course of the story quickly switches to the enemy side and betrays his UBSC (Umbrella Biohazard Countermeasure Service) team as well as Jill. All for selfishness and more money, while at the same time working as an undercover agent (monitor) for an enemy company. But because of the changed storyline, he may have survived the Raccoon City bombing, so Capcom left an opening for the Russian villain to return.Nicholai is a natural mercenary: where there’s more money, he’ll go.Knowing the original game, it was expected that he would become openly hostile at some point, but the story has made him a more developed character in the remake. It is unclear whether he died or survived the bombing of Raccoon City. At the end of Resident Evil 3 Remake, Capcom holds Nicholai down and instructs us to shoot. After a successful shot, Carlos knocks the wounded mercenary to the ground, who survives on the roof while Jill and Carlos escape in the helicopter…

Given Capcom’s history of bringing back an older side character from scratch, the Japanese company has experience, so Nicholai’s return is not out of the question. Of course, that doesn’t mean he’ll actually show up, but it also doesn’t mean we should forget about him. After all, we didn’t see him die.
