Star Wars Jedi And God Of War III’s Director Has Founded A New Studio!

The team is working on a single player AAA action-adventure game on Unreal Engine 5.

Stig Asmussen was the director of God of War III, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Star Wars: Jedi Survivor, and has now founded Giant Skull. The studio aims to create gameplay-driven, story-driven action-adventure games set in immersive worlds. Giant Skull CEO Stig Asmussen said in a press release, “The Giant Skull studio culture is based on creativity and curiosity. We have assembled a talented team known for immersive storytelling, heroic combat and exhilarating traversal, and our goal is to create a rich universe that players will want to get lost in for years to come.”

“Our values for the studio translate into how we make our games and our relationship with players – autonomy, dynamism, curiosity and respect. We want players to join us on every step of this amazing journey as we pave the way for our next game. We’re creating something special, and we’re fortunate to have assembled an incredible initial team of developers who are extremely passionate and experienced in creating genre-defining third-person action adventures,” said Anthony Scott, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Giant Skull.

The team also includes Jon Carr (Head of Technology; Star Wars Jedi: Survivor technical director), Patrick Murphy (art director; 27 years of experience; art director on Fortnite, Valorant, League of Legends, and multiple positions on God of War), Lauren McLemore (lead producer; previously held this position on Fortnite), Jeff Magers (design director; previously oversaw the design of two Star Wars Jedi), Brian Campbell (Animation Director; co-founded the Fortnite team and was Director of Animation at Epic Games), and Anthony Scott (Chief Operating and Financial Officer; was Chief Operating Officer at Rocksteady Studios for Batman: Arkham Games before leading Unbroken Studios).

Good luck to the team!

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
