A Highly Popular RPG Becomes a PlayStation 5 Exclusive on Console!

This game is currently in early access, but will soon end this status, and in the meantime is on its way to PlayStation 5; we will only see this title on console on Sony’s platform.

Stunlock Studios has announced that its survival action RPG V Rising, which went into early access in May 2022, will soon move out of early access, as it will cross version 1.0 from May 8. The team has previously announced that V Rising will only be available on PlayStation 5, but there’s still no word on when it will appear on Sony’s machine. The Swedish studio can be happy with its early access success, as it has amassed 3.9 million sales on Steam in 21 months through February 2024, and the reception has been positive, with over 68,000 reviews in the Very Positive category.

V Rising also has a good track record, as it was one of the most-played titles on Steam in 2023. It could appear on PlayStation 5 during 2024, but who knows if it’ll actually make it to console port this year. In its latest video, Stunlock Studios has confirmed that those who don’t play on PC will only be able to access the game on PlayStation 5, though it’s not yet known if it’s a timed exclusive or if Sony has opened its wallet to see a permanent exclusive. (This could also be the case with Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade, as the extended version of the remake originally released for PlayStation 4 is only available on PlayStation 5 and PC).

Version 1.0 of V Rising will feature a new location (The Ruins of Mortium, an endgame location), the final chapter, and dynamic endgame events. There will also be a new enemy type and new V Blood boss fights to look out for. There will also be full controller support in this version, which could be in preparation for the PlayStation 5 port.

Hopefully, it will be a success on the console.
