Deliver Us The Moon: the Unexpectedly Resurrected Nintendo Switch Port! [VIDEO]

It’s something we rarely see: a Switch port of a game is announced, it’s canceled, then several years later (!) comes the announcement that a port to the Big N’s platform is back in development…

KeokeN Interactive and Wired Productions have announced that four years after the Switch port was canceled, Deliver Us The Moon is still in development for Nintendo’s hybrid platform. KeokeN Interactive developers and brothers Paul and Koen Deetman said, “We are thrilled to announce that Deliver Us The Moon will soon be coming to the Nintendo Switch platform thanks to our valued partnership with Wired Productions once again. Bringing our immersive experience to this console opens up new ways for players to immerse themselves in our world, wherever they are. Join us on this exciting journey; we can’t wait to bring this adventure to Nintendo fans around the world.

Leo Zullo, co-founder and managing director of Wired Productions, added, “The story of Deliver Us The Moon and Wired began at PAX in early 2019. We loved the game, but more importantly, we felt connected to the Deetman brothers and their values. Five years later, to still be working on the final piece of the Deliver Us The Moon puzzle is special. KeokeN Interactive is one of the best storytellers out there, and giving Switch players the chance to experience this game is something no one once thought was technically possible, but I’m so happy to be here today, back in Mission Control, counting down the days to launch.

Deliver Us The Moon is a science fiction thriller set in an apocalyptic near future where Earth’s natural resources have been depleted. In an effort to solve the energy crisis, global powers created the World Space Agency and secured a promising new energy source on the moon. The World Space Agency colonized and operated from the Moon until one fateful night when all communication with Earth was lost and the energy source was lost. Now, years later, you assume the role of Earth’s last astronaut on a do-or-die mission to investigate what happened and save humanity. Your only companion on this adventure is a small robot named ASE. Together, you will cross the moon, explore abandoned facilities, gather clues, and ultimately uncover the secrets and hidden agendas of those long gone! Will you save humanity or be forgotten in the dark abyss of space?

The story focuses on current issues such as climate change and the depletion of the world’s natural resources. Experience sequences of 1st and 3rd person gameplay as Deliver Us The Moon takes you on a genre-bending narrative adventure. Launch a rocket from Earth, travel through the WSA space station, and explore the open lunar landscape with weightless freedom by foot, rover, or monorail. Ruins from previous lunar missions have many stories and secrets to tell. Use your Astrotool to uncover the history of the lunar colony. With the ASE drone as your only companion, use the greatest technology mankind has to offer from new age space suits, cutting lasers, rockets, and robotic arms.

With oxygen tanks running low and the never-ending void of space staring you down, staying alive won’t be so easy. Overcome obstacles and dangers in your path and uncover the secrets of the past by using various tools and all your wits to solve intricate puzzles. Inspired by the greatest works of science fiction in cinema, Deliver Us The Moon has an awe-inspiring soundtrack to rival the movies with three hours of original music. Deliver Us The Moon uses Unreal Engine 4 to deliver incredible gameplay and stunning visuals.

The Nintendo Switch port of Deliver Us The Moon is due out later this year. It has also been available for some time on PlayStation 5, Xbox series, PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
