Will Star Wars Eclipse Ever Be Finished?! Severe Blow to Quantic Dream’s Game

Star Wars Eclipse, Quantic Dream’s next game, has been quiet for quite some time, and now it has been revealed that the lead writer has left the studio…

We’re still looking forward to Star Wars Eclipse – just look at Quantic Dream’s previous work to see what a great game it could be. The French studio is known for creating highly immersive, interactive narratives based on decisions and consequences that influence the course of the story. In addition, the characters boast a high degree of realism, both in terms of their depth and their animations and gestures.

Star Wars Eclipse was slated for late 2021 and many believed it was announced too soon. It may still be several years away from its final release, but in the last few hours, some somewhat disturbing news has come to light for many players.

It turned out that the lead writer of Star Wars Eclipse left Quantic Dream to found his own studio.

According to the VGC report, Adam Williams disclosed and published the message announcing the news through his LinkedIn profile. “After almost 10 years at Quantic Dream, I am leaving to found a new studio, together with a group of very talented designers and developers. We can’t say too much just yet. We are working on something very innovative, very special and, for now, very secret. More on that soon,” he said.

The departure of Star Wars Eclipse’s lead writer is a cause for concern

This development is attention-grabbing in itself. The departure of the Star Wars Eclipse screenwriter from Quantic Dream could be a worrying sign. Because he can influence the project’s development to a decisive extent (especially regarding his vision and the project’s narrative). We don’t know what’s going on with the title, and whether the foundations of the plot have already been laid. However, it should not be forgotten that the French studio has other talented writers who could fill the role. At worst, this can be a serious but solvable problem for developers.
