In a show called Press Start, the Japanese publisher will spotlight two key titles, though more surprises might be on the way.
Konami has officially announced its Press Start livestream, which will air on June 12 at 1 PM UTC. The stream will be available via YouTube, Twitch, and Facebook, and the embedded YouTube link is already live. The company revealed that the runtime will be approximately 37 minutes and that subtitles will be available in 13 different languages.
Unsurprisingly, Konami has confirmed that Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater and Silent Hill f will be prominently featured in the showcase.
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is a full remake of the 2004 PlayStation 2 classic, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. Built using Unreal Engine 5 in collaboration with Virtuos, the game will feature updated controls, though the classic layout will still be available for those who prefer it. A new real-time combat damage system has been introduced, showing wear and tear on Snake‘s clothes and displaying bruises and gunshot wounds that leave permanent marks on his body, shaping the player’s unique story throughout the campaign. The remake will launch on August 28 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC.
Silent Hill f marks the next chapter in Konami’s iconic horror series. It is being developed by NeoBards Entertainment, the Hong Kong-based studio behind Resident Evil: Resistance, Resident Evil Re:Verse, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Marvel’s Avengers, and Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster. During the most recent State of Play, it was revealed that the story will unfold in a remote Japanese town in the 1960s. The title is slated for release on September 25 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC.
However, Konami has hinted that more announcements could be made during the Press Start event. Whether that means a major reveal or just an eFootball update remains uncertain.
