Mafia: The Old Country Gets a New Story Expansion This August

2K and Hangar 13 have announced Man of Honor, the first major expansion for Mafia: The Old Country. The DLC launches on August 14 and adds two new chapters to Enzo’s story, while Free Ride mode will also receive additional content.

The story of Mafia: The Old Country is about to continue with new chapters. 2K and Hangar 13 have officially announced the Man of Honor expansion, which is set to launch on August 14. The DLC continues Enzo Favara’s path and brings one familiar name into sharper focus for long-time fans of the series: Ennio Salieri, the future Don of the Salieri crime family and the main antagonist of Mafia: Definitive Edition.

Two New Chapters in Enzo’s Story

Man of Honor is set in Sicily during the winter of 1905. In the months since his initiation, Enzo Favara has proven himself to be a reliable soldier of the Torrisi crime family, and the Don now entrusts him and Cesare with a delicate assignment. They must assist Ennio Salieri, a man of honor recently released from prison and determined to reclaim what he believes is his. At Salieri’s side, Enzo is pulled deeper into the volatile underworld of the Valle Dorata, where loyalty is tested, debts are settled, and every move matters.

Enzo’s story continues across two new chapters, bringing fresh environments, weapons, vehicles, and Charms. The DLC explores a previously unseen period in Enzo’s life, during the height of his time as a soldato, when he is no longer merely trying to survive but becoming more deeply involved in the workings of the family. For the wider Mafia series, Salieri’s presence is especially interesting, because the expansion appears to build a more direct bridge between The Old Country and the world later reintroduced in Mafia: Definitive Edition.

Free Ride Mode Gets New Challenges Too

Alongside the new story chapters, Free Ride mode is also getting additional content. Players will team up with Salieri to earn big by taking on a new set of extreme challenges, while also discovering new collectibles and never-before-seen locations. Salieri acts as the player’s point of contact for these new Free Ride activities, which 2K says will test the skills of even the most elite mafiosi.

Mafia: The Old Country is currently available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam. The Man of Honor expansion launches on August 14, and it does not look like a disposable side add-on. Instead, it expands Enzo’s arc while also giving players a closer look at Salieri before he becomes one of the most important figures in the broader Mafia timeline. For anyone wanting more Sicilian underworld, more family obligation, and more direct links to the series’ future, this DLC is clearly built around that promise.
