Sam Fisher is on duty again – as no Splinter Cells are released, our hero at least will be put into Rainbow Six Siege for an event.
We have heard rumors for years about a possible new instalment of Splinter Cell, but Ubisoft doesn’t have a new game. Of course, Sam Fisher, its stealthy protagonist, does not stop making cameos. We first saw him on a Ghost Recon Wildlands mission, then as a character for the Elite Squad mobile video game, and now he’s coming to a special Rainbow Six Siege event.
Good old Sam Fisher will be the next operator to be added to the French company’s tactical multiplayer, as part of the Operation Shadow Legacy event. In addition to the trailer, no more details have been given about Fisher’s presence, although it has been anticipated that there will be more information this weekend during the NA-Mini Major Finals.
Rainbow Six Siege is being a real success for Ubisoft, being one of the reference titles in the world of esports. The version of the game for PS5 and Xbox Series X is already confirmed, although details have not been shared.
Perhaps then we will know something more about the future of Sam Fisher, who has gone from being the brand’s benchmark to being the protagonist in specific cameos in other company games. Ubisoft knows that there is a lot of desire for a new Splinter Cell, but at the moment there is no official announcement about it.
