Once your save has gotten past specific points in the plot, some Cyberpunk 2077 trophies will be impossible to earn.
Cyberpunk 2077 is certainly not in the same complicated position as before and has plenty of improvements that make us look favourably on the next-gen versions, but CD Projekt Red’s title has managed to blow fans once again away. This time, it’s a situation that’s particularly upsetting for those who have completed 100% of the game: trophies won’t be transferable from PS4 to PS5, the studio’s official site has confirmed.
CD Projekt Red mentions that the SKU of Cyberpunk 2077 is the cause of the problem
This may be a minor issue for gamers who are not interested in this PlayStation feature; however, for many who have completed all the challenges required by the game, the time and effort spent playing the game will be completely forgotten once they switch to PS5.
Cyberpunk 2077 audiences were quick to express their discontent on social media, as not only does this change force them to work harder, but it also makes it impossible for those with saved games at very advanced stages of the story to earn specific trophies, leaving them with the difficult decision of whether to continue without them or start again.
Why are trophies not transferable between the two versions of the game?
According to CD Projekt Red, the problem is in the SKU (reference/product code) of the title, which does not match the current version on PS4, and therefore the trophies cannot be updated.
Other titles, such as Uncharted, have not had this problem after switching between consoles, making it clear that the situation is entirely manageable. PlayStation, for its part, recognises the trophy hunters who spend hundreds of hours to get 100% completion on several games, as the company released an update for PS5 a few months ago that focuses entirely on this community.

The stupid thing about #Cyberpunk2077 trophies not carrying over to #PS5 is that if transfer your save and start playing from there, you've basically broken list and will need to play the game again to get the platinum. Other games didn't have this issue, so why does Cyberpunk? pic.twitter.com/z6ywFtIH6C
