Cyberpunk 2077 Has Arrived In The World Of PS5 & Xbox Series: Here Are The Graphics Improvements [VIDEO]

Yesterday, CD Projekt RED unveiled a massive update to Cyberpunk 2077 in a livestream.

Yesterday was all about Cyberpunk 2077, as CD Projekt RED hosted a livestream with a wealth of information about the RPG’s present and future. In fact, the livestream focused on more than just one aspect of the game, showing specifics around the upcoming game patch, as well as free DLCs and next-gen fixed gameplay. And, as many of you, including us, have suspected, we also got some information about the next-gen version of Cyberpunk 2077, coming to PS5 and Xbox Series, in the form of a massive update that’s available now.

The next-gen update is now available

The Cyberpunk 2077 stream started with gameplay recorded on PS5 and Xbox Series X. As CD Projekt RED explains, these versions squeeze the potential out of both consoles to give us image quality that’s complemented by ray tracing, 4K and faster loading. As we’ve seen with other games also released for next-gen, both platforms will have a performance mode and a ray-tracing mode, which will involve a change in frame-per-second speed.

Part of the livestream focused on the improvements introduced with the new patch for Cyberpunk 2077

Along the way, the team at CD Projekt RED recorded real-time gameplay to showcase new knife-throwing features, changes to AI combat techniques, groups of NPCs that exhibit different behaviours depending on our actions, and the ability to change our appearance mid-game, among many other aspects designed to improve the user experience.

On the other hand, CD Projekt RED’s live stream confirms a reported leak hours before the launch: Cyberpunk 2077 will have a 5-hour free trial. This will allow gamers who need more reasons to buy the game to dive deep into Night City and get to know the most important details of the game, such as gameplay and overall atmosphere.

In conclusion, thank you very much, CD Projekt RED! You couldn’t have timed it better. After all, there’s such a slump in the video game market… didn’t Dying Light 2 just come out; Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection; SiFu. Total War: Warhammer III, Horizon Forbidden West and Elden Ring aren’t coming out very soon… so if you’ve already delayed the release by a year and a half, you should have really kept an eye on the journalists’ workload. :)))
