Three Games Are Available For Free!

It’s good to start the new year with free games – or at least by getting them so you can spend some time with them in some downtime.

During the past two weeks, we kept an eye on what Epic Games Store offered for free each day. Perhaps Tim Sweeney has heard our thoughts about two games being repeats of previous giveaways (these two titles would be FTL: Faster Than Light and Celeste), as they end the twelve days of freebies on a high note by not giving us one but three games!

So you don’t have to immediately fire up the Epic Games Launcher (as you need an Epic Games account and the launcher to play the games), due to the three games being available for free until January 8, 8 AM PT, 11 AM ET, 4 PM UK, and 5 PM CET. The first game is Darksiders Warmastered Edition, the remaster of the 2010 original. The second one would be the sequel from 2012 in its remastered form, Darksiders II Deathinitive Edition. (You already have these on Steam if you had the original – THQ Nordic is fairly customer-friendly…) The third title comes from Ubisoft – it’s Steep‘s vanilla version, which came out on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. (There were plans for a Nintendo Switch version, but the French company has silently killed the port in the Summer of 2018.) This is an extreme sports game.

So, you need an Epic Games account, the Epic Games Launcher, and a minute to add the three games to your account. Meanwhile, the Epic Games Store’s sale ends on January 7, and we have our suspicion of not giving any freebie games after it, as there are no signs of them continuing this tradition.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
