Call of Duty Warzone Season 5 Presents The New Verdansk Stadium

The new season of Call of Duty Warzone is coming with a patch that, in addition to being big, will include new locations and new operators.

The Season 5 for Call of Duty Modern Warfare and Call of Duty Warzone will start in a couple of days and Infinity Ward is full steam ahead with the hype, with the new trailer that Activision released the afternoon on Monday and which confirms the opening of the Verdansk stadium, as well as the arrival of a freight train that will travel the map, along with the traditional stages, skins and novelty operators.

The little two minutes long video begins showing Roze destroying the arena dome; immediately afterwards, we can see the train in motion, along with the new operators; the new Suldal Harbor map for 6 vs. 6 encounters comes later; Verdansk International Airport is a new map for Land Warfare; Gunfight games may be played at Livestock; and Petrov Oil Rig will also support games 6 Vs. 6.

The interior of the arena houses a soccer field, as well as giant screens and, of course, rows and rows of stands that will be the new battlefield, while the train seems to carry artillery pieces, covered with canvas.

The new faction will be the Shadow Company mercenary group, which returns reinterpreted after their debut in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Its leader is Marcus Ortega who, we assume, is the operator who serves as the main image of Season 5 and, in turn, is based on the appearance of the real combat instructor, Tony Sentmanat.

Season 5 kicks off between Tuesday and Wednesday this week, and Infinity Ward has already threatened a heavy update patch that nonetheless promises to reduce the total volume of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare on the hard drive.

“It is a priority for us to continue working on reducing the total size of MW & WZ on your hard drives, but at the same time, delivering new seasons that everyone enjoys. We will continue working on this and taking space reductions with future updates.” It should be noted that, since last night, there are reports from some users about the possibility of preloading the update (1.24), which would measure 36 GB.

Despite everything, the current volume of Call of Duty Modern Warfare is around 200 GB, so with or without consolidation, it is a game that compromises the ability of fans to enjoy other titles on consoles whose hard drive does not exceed 500 GB. The consolation is that in the general menu of the title there is an option that allows you to uninstall certain components of the package, such as cooperative or survival mode, saving a little space.

The game and it’s free battle royale mode is available on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
