Cyberpunk 2077: Performance Mode On Xbox Series X, Official Guide Available [VIDEO]

CD Projekt RED’s game’s unlock dates have been also announced. Until then, you van acquire a gigantic – and official – strategy guide book for Cyberpunk 2077.

An image on Twitter showcased that Cyberpunk 2077 got an update on Xbox Series X. It’s pretty big – 43.5 GB! -, and it’s not even the day 1 patch, according to CD Projekt RED’s Fabian Mario Döhla: it’s an update but NOT the day 1 patch! It’s the day 0 patch then for the review copy. Because we’re fairly sure the Polish team isn’t going to force everyone to start playing Cyberpunk 2077 from December 10…

According to a Reddit user, this 43 GB update on Xbox Series X brings new HDR options, as well as a performance mode that makes Cyberpunk 2077 runs smoother than before. We expect the PlayStation 5 to receive the same treatment – the Poles probably won’t make it an Xbox-exclusive feature…

Also on Twitter, we learned that the PC pre-load will start on December 7 at 12 PM if we bought Cyberpunk 2077 via GOG. On Epic Games Store and Steam, it will begin at 5 PM the same day. The console pre-load started on December 8 at 5 PM on PlayStation platforms and on December 3 at 5 PM on Xbox, respectively. When will we get to play the game, though? The console versions will unlock at midnight on December 10. On PC, however, it will start at 4 PM in Los Angeles, or 7 PM in New York or 1 AM in most of Europe.

There’s also an official (!) strategy guide, made by Piggyback. It can be used as a melee weapon: the standard edition is 464 pages for 25 bucks (20 euro), while the hardcover collector’s edition is 496 for 40 dollars (30 euro). It can help you get 100% in Cyberpunk 2077 in case you don’t want to spend 150 or even more hours in Night City.

Cyberpunk 2077 will launch on December 10 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Google Stadia, and PC. The PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series will have the PS4/X1 version until the next-gen patch drops next year. Until then, if you have GOG Galaxy, you can acquire The Witcher: Enhanced Edition for free!
