Spielberg originally rejected the idea of hybrid dinosaurs for Jurassic World

MOVIE NEWS- One of the new features of Jurassic World, which debuted in 2015, was the hybrid dinosaur Indominus Rex, whose genome was mixed from the DNA of various reptiles, including Tyrannosaurus Rex.

This was followed three years later by the equally hybrid Indoraptor in Jurassic World: Fallen Empire. The idea is not new, however, having emerged after 2001’s Jurassic Park III.but in a much steeper form: the script for the sequel featured a hybrid that was a mix of human and dinosaur, created to create the perfect bioweapon. However, franchise owner Steven Spielberg was strongly opposed to the idea, as it could have pushed the dino series in the direction of the Alien films. The script was scrapped and the franchise foundered, only to be rebooted more than a decade later with the first in the Jurassic World trilogy, in which only dinosaurs are crossed with dinosaurs.
Colin Trevorrow, the writer-director of the new trilogy, revealed that there will be no hybrids in the final installment, Jurassic World: World Domination, but that the finale will still set the tone for the entire series.

The final episode, by the way, is already complete, Trevorrow reported recently in .
