FIFA 23 Is So Buggy That Career Mode Lets Women Players Join Men’s Teams!

A player has confronted a bug in FIFA 23 that allows you to sign female footballers to male teams in career mode, documenting the bug with pictures.

Football fans worldwide have been waiting for the release of the latest edition of the game series, FIFA 23. EA released the official trailer in July this year, and less than two months later, the game was released. Compared to previous FIFA games, FIFA 23 offers more game modes, more officially licensed teams and more customisation options than ever before.

The career mode is one of FIFA games’ most popular offline modes. It allows players to manage teams or a single player.

For years, fans have complained about the monotonous gameplay and features of Career Mode. Many were relieved when EA released the FIFA 23 Career Mode trailer, which showcased new additions and features such as authentic managers, player career personality and playable highlights.

Reddit user theOUTCOME3 shared that they encountered a bug in Career Mode that allows female players to be signed to the male team. They shared a picture of female players playing alongside male players. The second picture shows the attributes of a freelance female player named Lotte Wubben-Moy. The post received much attention from the FIFA community on Reddit, garnering more than 700 upvotes and 200 comments in two days.

Many are speculating about the effects of the bug on gameplay and comparing the quality and price of female players to their male counterparts. Some fans have shared similar experiences they faced in previous releases, while others call the feature a feature rather than a bug. Social media platforms are full of funny clips and pictures showing FIFA bugs of earlier releases, but this is one of the first reported bugs in FIFA 23. (Apart from the disastrous Steam release, of course.)

FIFA 23 also features Ted Lasso, a character from the TV series of the same name.

Players can even choose Ted Lasso as their coach in the career mode and start their managerial career with the default four-star rated AFC Richmond team.

FIFA 23 was officially released on September 30, but some early buyers were able to try it out a month earlier due to a bug at EA Sports.
