Transistor – Over a million

Supergiant Games can open the champagne at the end of the year. The indie developer team managed to get a second game to sell over one million copies. After Bastion‘s success (it’s over 3 million at the moment), they pulled it off again with Transistor. This game released on the PS4 and PC in May 2014, on Mac and Linux in October 2014, and on the iOS in June 2015, respectively.

They did trick us with the number, though, but in a reversed manner: Supergiant did not include the free PlayStation Plus downloads from February. We’d note two things here: first, Sony should return to handing out such high-quality games as Transistor for the PS Plus subscribers, and this is fair play by the devs, as they only counted the actual sales. Most of the sales came from Steam.

Transistor is a game with great ambience and visual artwork – we liked it a lot, and it still shines as much as it did when it released. We recommend this game – you will require some strategy, but when you get the hang of it, the story will keep you playing.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
