Scorn: Patch 1.1.8.0 Has Arrived, With Some Very Important Fixes!

Scorn is a very atmospheric horror game, but it’s still not without its flaws. Now, however, some of them seem to have been corrected.

The FPS horror game Scorn has released update 1.1.8.0. The patch makes significant changes and fixes some long-standing issues in the game. First announced in 2014, Scorn was finally released to the public early last month. While it has received mixed reviews, it certainly has its fans, who are happy with the latest update.

Scorn developer Ebb Software has pushed the 1.1.8.0 update to all game versions.

This means that those who play Scorn on PC via Steam, the Epic Games Store or GOG can download the update now, as can those who played it on Xbox Series X, either purchased or as part of their Xbox Game Pass subscription.

The update has fixed some of the game’s most glaring bugs. Players will no longer get stuck when interacting with specific items needed to solve puzzles and progress the story. Several issues with Scorn Act 5 have been specifically addressed. For example, a bug made it impossible for players to pick up an essential item after defeating the boss in the storyline. Also, another issue where the area would not load properly.

Scorn fans will no doubt appreciate the bug fixes. However, it’s also worth looking at what’s new with the latest update. When downloading the update, players will notice the new Load Last Checkpoint option, improved checkpoints, and a hard save of Act 3-2.

Scorn’s checkpoints and save system have been the source of much criticism, so this update should go a long way to appeasing critics.

Those stuck on Scorn’s puzzles and gave up can return to the game after downloading this update. Because the overall experience will be improved. Future updates may improve things even further, but at the time of writing this article, no information was available on what these possible updates will contain.
