Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain – The PS4 port sells the most

Although we do not have any official sales information yet (only shipping data: over three million copies shipped to stores), Konami and Kojima Productions’ game, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is a well sought title. A UK company, namely GFK Chart-Track, which is specialized in game sales information tracking, has came up with the ratios of the console sales – they did not count the PC sales!

According to their statistics, the PlayStation 4 port was sold the most with a massive 72% rate, and the Xbox One was only able to get 22% of the sales. The previous generation consoles are a landslide behind – it was expected to happen anyway: the PlayStation 3 got a 3 percentage share, and the Xbox 360 got 2%. There’s another twist to this though…

GFK Chart-Track has only looked at the physical game sales, so the PlayStation Store and the Xbox Live was excluded from their research. Still, we can clearly say that the PlayStation 4 port – running on 1080p/60fps – is the most sought after version.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
