Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales: A Movie Costume And Fast Booting [VIDEO]

Insomniac Games also takes cues from Marvel’s (=Disney’s) universe (or they flung over there – we are talking about Spidey after all…).

Sony Interactive Entertainment and Insomniac Games announced on Twitter that their upcoming game is going to have a costume (or suit, to be precise) from a movie called Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. It’s not going to be available from the get-go for everyone, though.

Insomniac Games could have made the suit available for only those who pre-order the game, but they announced that they are not following the trend many games use nowadays. Instead, the suit will be available via unlocking by playing the game (and it also applies to the other one, the T.R.A.C.K suit). The suit also comes with the Vibe the Verse mode, which will mimic the low visual frequency effect on Spider-Man seen in the film. This, however, according to James Stevenson, the community director of Insomniac, can be turned off. The two videos below showcase the suit.

Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales got another video, which features a cold booting of the game on PlayStation 5. Approximately eight seconds pass from the PlayStation 5’s home menu until the game’s main menu shows up. It might sound a lot, but it’s far less time than on a current-gen console. Also, about two seconds needed to be in the game from the main menu, which is fairly quick. In ten seconds, you can stretch once or twice but that’s about it.

Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales will launch on both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on November 12 in North America and on November 19 in Europe. The PlayStation 4 > PlayStation 5 upgrade is free, and the Ultimate Edition version of the game also contains the PS5 remaster of 2018’s Marvel’s Spider-Man, where the PS4 > PS5 save cannot be transferred, as it’s not a PlayStation 4 game running in backwards compatibility mode.
