Hideo Kojima has hired Mads Mikkelsen to star in Mads Max

The Danish actor was left speechless at Kojima’s strange idea.

Hideo Kojima… is Hideo Kojima. For years we’ve been following his career and his peculiar lifestyle, which has not gone unnoticed. He regularly appears on social media, where he gives his opinion or the first thing that comes to mind. And with the release of Death Stranding Director’s Cut just around the corner, the Japanese creative has now confessed one of his craziest ideas, starring Mads Mikkelsen.

As you know, Mikkelsen is one of the actors involved in Death Stranding and will play a vital role in the game. Kojima himself confessed via Twitter that he told the actor that he had an idea for him to be the main character in a game and planned to title it “Mads Max“, at least as a codename. Naturally, good old Mads was maximally surprised.

“I have many ideas that I would like to realise with Mads as the main character. I explained one of them to him once, and he listened carefully, but when I told him the title, his jaw dropped. He seemed to think I was joking, but I meant it. The code title was ‘Mads Max’, a subtle pun on the popular film saga, the latest instalment of which stars Charlize Theron and Tom Hardy and is a favourite of the Japanese filmmaker.

Of course, Hideo Kojima is a genius who is hard not to like. Let’s not forget that Death Stranding Director’s Cut has a release date of September 24th. This version includes improvements and even more content than the original game.
